A Poem using Roger Gough's writing as stimulus.
My Wimbledon final has gone south!
Terrorists of England, shouting with their open mouth!
The tournament has been attacked…
With the dead bodies, the stadium was packed…
The bloody seats, and body parts
It all messes with our fragile hearts.
The organs, and fingers.
The dead souls lingers.
Pistols and bombs and guns
Survivors can only run
I watch in terror, with nothing to do
With a another bomb, the people blew
The heads rolled and rolled
While the events unfold
Police sirens are heard
The police say “Stop it you turds!”
I hide with fear
Knowing my death could be near
Hours pass by
And I didn’t die
I come out
Too many bodies, I can’t count
The police secured the place
This memory.. I’ll try to erase
